JMS Group of companies that employ 50+ staff undertaking civil & structural engineering designs and has been serving the Construction Industry for over 25 years.
We are looking to recruit a talented Associate Structural Engineer to join our growing structural team in the Midlands region. Where, as a critical part of our team, you will Lead an Engineering cost centre(s).
With project costs up to £12m and the use of the latest design software, the role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in impactful, high-value projects. A competitive salary up will be offered, commensurate with the importance of this role within our company.
We have opportunities available in our Nuneaton covering the Midlands area.

Responsibilities
Oversee our team of structural engineers for our Midlands region, providing support where necessary
Use the latest design software to create and manage designs.
Liaise with key clients and discuss design/technical solutions with team members and stakeholders.
Ensure projects are appropriately resourced, delegating work to team members, programming deliverables, and monitoring progress.
Provide support and guidance to junior staff, fostering their development and progression
Implement company policies and ensure adherence across your team
Monitor and oversee project budgets and staff resources for projects undertaken
Develop existing customer relationships and promote JMS's services
Assist in achieving targeted revenues from current and new customers
Qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated and driven experienced Associate Structural Engineer able to meet the following criteria:
Degree qualified in Structural Engineering or related discipline
Must have Chartered Engineer status (CEng)
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in structural engineering
Demonstrable record of involvement in the design of highways and infrastructure projects
Proven track record of cost estimation and project management.
Understanding of the use of design tools within a BIM environment
Use of industry design standards, i.e. DMRB; Manual for Streets; NJUG, SSG etc.
Problem solver, able to offer solutions to challenges
Able to work and collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Confident, articulate, collaborative & proactive
Eagerness to learn and to develop your skills and career with training support
